Once again Jer - you are making me insanely jealous that you are riding again! We're still waiting for the snow to leave the trails here in MB...it's been warm but not warm enough.Thankfully, I will be escaping to North Carolina the last week of April for some riding at Tsali and ww kayaking on a variety of rivers there. I hope to connect with Chris Eidse who moved there this past year with his family!G
Sorry, I hope it doesn't come across as bragging. I'm thrilled to be riding these days, even just half-hour rips at lunchtime. It makes me feel lucky, clears my head and shrinks my winter beer gut.If you ever see a Westjet sale on this summer, you should bomb out here for a riding weekend -- maybe talk Pat into it too. We'll do some interminable lung-burning climbs and rocky downhills that go on forever. Ok, now I'm just bragging -- ignore me.Your NC trip sounds epic. I'd love to hook up with Chris down there.
Very tempting - i'll first get rid of my gut though...unfortunately teaching indoors doesn't do much for the physique either. It looks like we are about 2 weeks away from riding the trails if the snow melt continues. It seems to stick around in the bush and valleys longer than it does in the city. I have my doubts I'll be able to escape out west - I finish up teaching by the 17th of April but it is amazing how the rest of the spring and summer fills up with weddings, speaking engagements, camps, family gatherings, etc. Pat and I have talked about biking the badlands in South Dakota though - apparently amazing riding almost Moab-like. We should get all the Rosenort mtn bike riders together for a trip to moab someday! G
i can't wait to document a visit with you guys on my blog. All the photos will be taken by you if i have anything to say about it!
Well Ang, since you brought it up, when are you coming up here? We'd love to have you guys stay with us for a weekend if you're up for it -- maybe in summer when it's more beach-friendly for the kids? That could be a total blast...
okay, we're officially in the planning stage, this is good, and good is fun. i'll get back to you on this one!
