Celebrity Photo Match

There are so many interesting tools popping up on the web these days, and I'm fascinated by this face recognition site. You upload a photo and it matches the people in the picture to photos in their celebrity database. So much potential for good and evil with this stuff. Thanks to Arwen for the pointer to this glorious time-waster.

Not bad! In my teen years people always compared me to Elisabeth Shue ( i think), is there a way to compare your own face to one of your choice?

I just tried a few other pictures of myself and ended up with likenesses to Yul Brynner and Boris Karloff so I'm a little less enthralled. It took a bunch of tries but I finally got another photo to show me female celebs, including Bette Davis and Hillary Swank. Oh, was I supposed to be working on something useful this last half hour?

Wow, how nice! I pulled off a Kate Winslet. I'll post to my blog later with the pics.

HA HHAHA...Yul Brynner, eh? I'm getting Westworld flashbacks.

A lot seems to depend on the expression and angle in the photo. Often the top couple don't even look anything close to the original, but it's cool when you see a strong resemblance.

Hmmm - I think the Nicole Kidman shot is actually pretty close. The program seems to match more the angle that the picture was actually taken than the overall face though at times. Apparently I have some resemblence to Bono which I was pretty excited about - I'll have to pull out a good mullet shot to see if anything pulls up eh? Christian Slater, Johnny Depp, were a few of the others...
