Sunny Sunoka Saturday

trailgirls
We had a social weekend again, with my folks coming in Saturday night, breakfast at the Beanery with Myron and Tracey the next morning, and then the Hildebrands over here for supper Sunday night. All good.

Saturday afternoon we hung out at Sunoka beach for a glorious hour:The weather's been a bit up and down this week, but we've also been enjoying the sun in the backyard and by our south-facing windows. A couple of cute shots of Ella in that zone: pigtail shadows and the window washer.

Way to go Ivy! You should take Mom and Dad's picture more often.
Your daughters are enjoying their childhoods while they could be signing contracts with Gap Kids, you know that right?

Hmmmmmm... the weather looks divine!

Oh Ang, you fawn over our kids the same way Marj does! I laughed reading this Gap Kids reference, because it seemed like any time I took the girls out this week, they looked like little Holdeman street people -- floral-print dresses (too small, they're growing like weeds), shabby tights, velcro runners, stained hoodies, and parkas over top (not because it was cold...just because they love their parkas).

Weatherwise, Heatherwise...it's been all over the place. That day was super nice, but we've had blowing snow since then.

HOLDEMAN STREET PEOPLE. That's probably the next Gap Kids trend anyhow. Do your girls get as attached to their clothes as Emily did? She just looved all the stuff that no longer fit. Em's finally getting better but that's because she picks her clothes and she's old enough to be forced to PROMISE to wear it lots before I buy.

Well, they're in a stage where they're particularly attached to any pink and/or frilly clothes, preferably teeny things that aren't so good for wearing outside in winter.
