SOLD

After about two months, I'm happy to report that we've sold our townhouse. In the end, our internet marketing blitz didn't do the trick...despite our desires to the contrary, we accepted an offer from a local realtor who agreed to show his clients our place for a much-reduced commission. Anyway, it worked -- at the end of the month, we'll be renters again after nearly three years of homeownership. We're relieved and excited and celebrating.

Thanks, all. Photos in a few weeks when we're getting all our junk moved into the new place.

Congrats on the sale but I do not understand why it is better to rent than to own. Seems to be the opposite in my country!

Thx, Bee. It's not necessarily better to rent than to own. There are benefits and drawbacks to both, but it's really all about affordability -- for us, living somewhere we like better for less money (renting) is better than living somewhere we like less that costs more (owning, which is really the bank owning it).
