April Heat

Crazy nice day here today, which we mostly spent lying in the sun. It's this day you imagine all winter, trying to remeber how it feels to be truly warm and comfortable. Mom brought a delicious picnic over and we all wandered around the Ornamental Gardens afterward. When we got home, I fell asleep in the hammock...mellow-o-rama.

Random photos: hip mama, buzzing bee, Tan in the sunroom, hens 'n chicks and a mini Ivy gallery -- looking serious, accessorizing with grass, a look of joy, and practicing two-wheeled fun with the "run-bike".

I"m sorry, but you suck! LOL! We have a crapload of snow and it was cold for most of today. At least we got some sun this afternoon/evening and were able to take the kids out for a bit. I miss Kelowna weather!

Sorry in advance but, I'm taking this even one step further than Teri.

I hate you.

That felt better ;) Seriously though, can you send some of that our way?

I've rarely been so abused on my own blog. Then again, rarely have I deserved it more.

I actually expected this to goad some hatred out of my Manitoban friends...I think it's been even worse that AB there this week.

Jer, we Manitobans are way beyond hatred, envy maybe, as survivors of the deep cold. We have learned to appreciate the glaring bright sun, along with these frigid temperatures. Go ahead & bask in the warmth. We'll catch up with you later. Pearl

That's just wonderful to hear Jer. Thanks for sharing. It just warms my heart to know that you are basking in sunshine. OH how wonderful indeed. And OH the smile on my face is radiating my joy...and now...I will depart this lovely little cafe to head home through the treacherous cold wicked wind that has NO hint of spring whatSOever this fine snowy Easter freakin weekend. ;)

HA haha...oh Shawna, the sarcasm drips (and freezes?), even online. Considering it's April already, it's only a matter of time till it's beautiful there too...we got lucky to have it come this early. Normal temps are more like 12.

Pearl, I know "Friendly Manitoba" wouldn't really lapse into hatred, but thanks for the encouragement anyway. We were remembering that you've made it out here in April at least once, and I remember it being unseasonaby warm then too -- remember sitting in our little backyard at the townhouse soaking in sun?

We're actually hoping for rain already -- not a drop in three weeks and it's getting really dry.

lol! too funny - the comments, not the weather. more freakin' snows in cowtown, but at least its not cold - that is a plus :)
