Mountain Biking Obsession

I've been way too amped about riding lately. It's becoming obsessive. Today I found the BC trails database on the MTB Review site. So many unbelievable trails within a few hours of my house...so little time. I really have to do some exploring this summer. Sad to see the beginnings of major trail controversy so close to home -- so unnecessary. Sounds like there's a serious difference of opinion between the freeriders and the Kelowna Mountain Bike Club.

Matrix Reloaded

We saw the Matrix Reloaded last night (along with the rest of humanity) after an excellent supper with Myron and Tracey. Like the first movie, I was the only one in the theater laughing most of the time...why do people take this stuff so seriously? It's so over-the-top that I couldn't help finding it hilarious. I loved the movie...found it absolutely entertaining despite (because?) its flaws.

Beers of Choice

Still thinking about the original post, and wondering whether I should start it off with something light. An ode to beer, perhaps. Tonight I enjoyed a Big Rock Pale, which I consider to be an excellent summer beer. I don't hold it against these guys that they're based in Alberta, because their beer is just too good to leave me clinging to regional alliances. My personal favourite: McNally's Extra, which some friends have pronounced "the worst beer they ever tasted"...but it's an acquired taste.

What Do I Put in This Thing?

May 23rd seems like an innocuous date to start a my blog. My first major decision is how to much to include here. I read a great article today from a prominent blogger about his struggle to figure out how to integrate personal commentary into with his work blog.
Since I'm just starting out, I have the luxury of trying to do it right the first time. But of course I always screw things up the first time. So maybe I'll just wing it.
